What is a belt trailer? +
A belt trailer unloads through a conveyor belt in the floor — fast, metered and without tipping. Ideal for agriculture, vegetables, grain and bulk

In Roeselare, Belgium. Dewagtere is a Belgian family business with its own engineering and automated series production.

Why steel, aluminium and composite? +
The combination gives the ideal balance between low tare weight and strength; each material is used according to its properties: more payload without compromising on service life.
What is the difference between a belt trailer and a tipper? +
A belt trailer unloads horizontally through the conveyor belt in the floor, without tipping. So it also unloads under low roofs, in sheds and greenhouses where a tipper cannot go up. Unloading is metered and can go straight onto a conveyor belt.
Which products is a belt trailer suitable for? +
For a wide range of bulk products: potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, carrots, grain, seeds, peas, soya, maize, animal feed and fertilisers.
What is the tare weight of a Dewagtere belt trailer? +
Tare weight from 5300 kg. Steel, aluminium and composite, optimised with strength calculations: lighter than a comparable bulk trailer, without compromising on strength or service life.
Can I rent a belt trailer or buy a used one? +
Yes. We have a large rental fleet of belt trailers, and regularly have used ones in stock.
Does Dewagtere deliver outside Belgium too? +
Yes. Our belt trailers have European type approval and run all over Europe. With our own export licence we also deliver directly from Roeselare to the United Kingdom and other countries outside the EU.
How fast does a belt trailer unload? +
A Speedy Unloader (1000 mm belt, heavier drive, adapted tunnel) unloads 35 tonnes in 6 minutes. A belt trailer with a 700 or 800 mm belt unloads in 10 to 25 minutes, depending on the drive.
